Today's episode is the first of my Athlete Nutrition Profile Series on the Eat for Endurance Podcast, and I am very excited to kick things off with Matt Wilpers!
Matt and I go way back. We met many years ago in NYC, when we coached a triathlon team together. He’s an incredible athlete and coach who brings both science and fun to training, which is exactly how I like to approach nutrition with my clients.
Matt has competed in many sports, including as an NCAA Division I Cross Country and Track distance runner for Georgia State University. He also has been coaching runners and cyclists for over 10 years, with positions at Equinox, Mile High Run Club, and currently, at Peloton, where he leads the PowerZone training programs and also teaches on the Tread.
If you have a Peloton and haven’t checked out his classes yet, do it! I am a Peloton bike owner myself, and am a huge fan of PowerZone training.
I’m sure many of you are eager to know more about Matt Wilpers' nutrition. I hope you enjoy this discussion I had with him at the Peloton HQ last month.
